جمعية ريحانة وسلطة جودة البيئة تنظمان فعاليات بيئية تفاعلية
نظّمت جمعية ريحانة بالتعاون مع سلطة جودة البيئة – مكتب بيت لحم سلسلة فعاليات بيئية تفاعلية استهدفت الشباب، وركّزت على تعزيز الوعي البيئي السياسي.
بمناسبة اليوم الدولي لمنع استخدام البيئة في الحروب والصراعات العسكرية، عقدت دائرة التوعية البيئية ورشة عمل بعنوان “الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية بحق البيئة الفلسطينية”، استهدفت طلبة الجامعات والمدارس في جمعية ريحانة.
تناولت الورشة، من خلال عروض تقديمية وأفلام وثائقية ونقاشات تفاعلية، أبرز الانتهاكات البيئية، ومنها استنزاف الموارد الطبيعية، تلوث البيئة، تهويد المواقع الأثرية، وتدمير التنوع الحيوي، إضافة إلى استخدام الاحتلال لأسلحة محظورة دوليًا مثل الفسفور الأبيض وتأثيرها على المناخ. كما ناقشت انضمام فلسطين لاتفاقية بازل ودور سلطة جودة البيئة في التصدي لتهريب النفايات الخطرة.
تلت الورشة نشاط لزراعة البروكلي والخس في أنظمة الزراعة المائية لجمعية ريحانة.
ساهمت الفعاليات في رفع الوعي البيئي، والتأكيد على ضرورة توثيق انتهاكات الاحتلال، ونشرها محليًا ودوليًا دعمًا لحماية البيئة الفلسطينية.
Rihannah Association and the Environmental Quality Authority Organize Interactive Environmental Activities
Bethlehem – Rihannah Association, in cooperation with the Environmental Quality Authority – Bethlehem Office, organized a series of interactive environmental activities targeting youth, focusing on enhancing environmental awareness and promoting positive environmental behavior.
Workshop on Israeli Violations Against the Environment
On the occasion of the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict, the Environmental Awareness Department held a workshop titled “Israeli Violations Against the Palestinian Environment”, targeting university and school students as part of the winter camp activities.
Through presentations, documentaries, and interactive discussions, the workshop addressed key environmental violations, including resource depletion, environmental pollution, the Judaization of archaeological sites, and biodiversity destruction, in addition to the use of internationally banned weapons and their impact on climate change. It also discussed Palestine’s accession to the Basel Convention and the role of the Environmental Quality Authority in preventing hazardous waste smuggling.
Following the workshop, participants engaged in planting broccoli and lettuce using hydroponic systems at Rihannah Association.
These activities contributed to raising environmental awareness, documenting Israeli violations, and disseminating them locally and internationally, supporting efforts to protect the Palestinian environment.
