Reyhana Association, in partnership with the Dalia Association, organized a participatory workshop that brought together actors from agricultural cooperatives, representatives of the Cooperative Work Authority, and youth and women-led initiatives from the Bethlehem and Hebron governorates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This session aimed to explore the role of agricultural cooperatives \u2014 especially youth-led ones \u2014 in addressing economic and social crises, and in advancing the concept of food sovereignty as part of a broader Palestinian liberation project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighted successful cooperative models, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Battir Agricultural Cooperative \u2013 A community-based cooperative excelling in marketing, ecological farming, and beekeeping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussions explored how agriculture can shift from a survival activity to a domain of empowerment and resistance, through local and sustainable food production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A range of perspectives was shared by women and youth working in the field, addressing practical and day-to-day challenges, and proposing solutions in administration, environmental practices, and marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contributions also included insights from veteran farmers, and a presentation on the work of the Union of Agricultural Work Committees and their Seed Bank Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
