Graduation of the Youth Group from the Initiative “Planting Awareness, Harvesting Change”

Yesterday, Rihannah Association organized the graduation ceremony of the youth group participating in the initiative “Planting Awareness, Harvesting Change”, which was supported by ActionAid Palestine.
The ceremony featured the launch of a booklet produced by the youth group, addressing key environmental issues that reflect their priorities and vision for the future. It also included a photo exhibition taken by the participants throughout the initiative’s activities, as well as a video screening highlighting the essence of the initiative and its major outcomes.
The graduation was attended by representatives from the Environmental Quality Authority, represented by Ms. Na’meh Kanaan and Ms. Hadeel Okhmais, in addition to representatives from ActionAid, members of the association’s administrative board, friends of Rihannah Association, and young participants from the three Bethlehem refugee camps.
This initiative stems from the belief of the youth group in their pivotal role in protecting the environment, promoting climate justice and sovereignty over natural resources, and reinforcing the principle of community participation in addressing current environmental challenges.
تخريج الفئة الشابة لمبادرة “لنزرع الوعي ونحصد التغيير”
أمس نظّمت جمعية ريحانة حفل تخريج الفئة الشابة المشاركة في مبادرة “لنزرع الوعي ونحصد التغيير”، والتي جاءت بدعم من مؤسسة “أكشن إيد – فلسطين”.
تخلل الحفل إطلاق كُتيّب صادر عن الفئة الشابة تضمّن قضايا بيئية هامة تعبّر عن أولوياتهم ورؤيتهم المستقبلية، إلى جانب معرض صور التقطها المشاركون خلال مسيرة المبادرة، وعرض فيديو يوثّق ماهية المبادرة وأبرز أنشطتها.
وشارك في التخريج ممثّلون عن سلطة جودة البيئة ممثلةً بالأستاذتين نعمة كنعان وهديل اخميس، إضافة إلى حضور ممثلين عن مؤسسة “أكشن إيد”، وأعضاء الهيئة الإدارية للجمعية، وأصدقاء جمعية ريحانة، إلى جانب حضور شبابي من مخيمات بيت لحم الثلاثة.
وجاءت هذه المبادرة انطلاقًا من إيمان الفئة الشابة بدورها المحوري في حماية البيئة وتعزيز العدالة المناخية والسيادة على الموارد الطبيعية، وترسيخ مبدأ المشاركة المجتمعية في مواجهة التحديات البيئية الراهنة.
